I hope this Sunday finds you and your family well. While we are unable to meet on Sundays at present, due to the COVID-19 shutdown, we are able to meet online.
Let me encourage you to pray for those in our church who are sick or who are elderly. Pray also for the many doctors and nurses in our church family who are treating the sick. These are our heroes during these days, and we thank God for them. Pray for their safety from getting the virus themselves and for their work that touches so many people.
Questions for Discussion: Here are some discussion questions you and your family can use:
What is the biggest spiritual battle you have ever had? We fight against the world, the flesh, and the devil, in our spiritual life (Ephesians 2:1-3). Which of these three seems the hardest for you to fight against? Joseph was betrayed, abused, falsely accused, and forgotten. What do you think he felt during those years? Do you think he ever faced discouragement? How can we overcome discouragement? What difference does it make that God "foreknew" us and "predestined" us? What is something in your life that you thought was bad and painful when it happened, that actually turned out good? What is God's plan for our lives? We must both live intentionally for God and react to circumstances in the right spirit. Which of those is easier for you to do? Why? What are the three ways in Revelation 12:11 that believers overcame the devil? How can we do that in our lives today? Blessings, Pastor David
